Saturday, February 17th:

Betts Branch, 9:30am – 11:30am; Hooks & Needles. Time to chat, knit, crochet &
share ideas in a casual and friendly environment. All are welcome.
Beauchamp Branch, 10am – 11am; People Get Ready: Disaster Preparedness
Workshop. Host: FORCE Ready Syracuse Project. Training that will help you learn
how you and your family can get ready in the event of an emergency. Participants
will receive a starter disaster preparedness kit and additional resources.
Mundy Branch, 10am – 12pm; Trading Card Game Players. Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon,
Magic, & more! All trading card game players welcome to this informal group.
New players welcome. Supplies available for in-house play & training. For 12+.
Mundy Branch, 10:30am – 1pm; Read*Make*Play: Early Learning for the Busy
Family! Join us for reading, singing, dancing, and more. For ages 0 – 5.
Mundy Branch, 11am – 12pm; Tails to Tell. Read a story to one of our lovable
furry friends, trained by Paws of CNY. They love a good book! For ages 5 – 12.
Petit Branch, 2pm – 4pm; Open Chess. Meet up with other chess players for a
game. Beginners, experienced players, everyone is welcome. Chess boards are
available or bring your own. No registration required.
Mundy Branch, 2pm – 4pm; Technology Camp. Join the library and our dedicated
Teen Technology Leaders to learn about basic robotics, computer coding, gaming
with tablets, and more. All programs are STEAM-based and offer plenty of handson
activities for kids and teens. For ages 8 – 18.
Betts Branch, 2;30pm – 4:30pm; Graphic LITerature Club. Join us to talk about
the graphic novel version of Madeline L’Engle’s “A Wrinkle in Time”, and begin
or continue creating your own graphic novel. Teens 13+ welcome, whether or not
you’ve read the book! Drinks & snacks provided. Call 315-435-1940 to register*
and receive meeting updates and reminders. *Unregistered teens always welcome!
Central Library, 3pm – 4pm; Literary LEGOS. Listen to a story while using LEGOS
to build something from the story. No registration required. Ages 5+.
