Friday, February 16th:

Central Library, 10am – 12pm; Jobs Drop In Lab. Need help in your job search
preparation? Join us Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 AM – 12 PM in the
Second Floor Computer Lab. We can help to create a resume, continue your job
search and answer questions you might have.

Central Library, 10am – 4pm; Open Art Studio in the MakerSpace. Stop by any
Friday & use a variety of art supplies to create artwork of your own choosing. No
registration necessary. For teens & adults.

Paine Branch, 10am – 11am; Book Discussion Group. Group Offering an opportunity
to exchange ideas & share reading enjoyment. February book is The Curious
Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, a touching story of a teenage boy with a
social disability and his quest to uncover a suspicious death, by Mark Haddon.

Beauchamp Branch, 2pm – 3pm; A Community Reading with the Pinkney Family.
Host: Marcelle Haddix, PhD from SU School of Education discusses the Pinkney
family’s unique contribution to African-American children’s literature. What led
to children’s books becoming the family business? Especially for young children,
mothers, homeschoolers, and community members.

Mundy Branch, 2;30pm – 5pm; “Hidden Figures” Movie & Discussion. Watch the
incredible untold story of 3 brilliant African-American women working at NASA,
who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the
launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. The visionary trio crossed all gender
and race lines to inspire generations to dream big. For all ages.

Central Library, 3pm – 4:45pm; GarageBand Basics in the MakerSpace. Learn
the basics of recording or receive 1-on-1 support in GarageBand from MakerSpace
Sound Engineers. No registration required, but recommended to call ahead. For
teens & adults.

Central Library, 3:30pm – 5pm; Teen Popcorn Friday. Join us for popcorn and fun
in the Teen Space. Play games, watch anime, & enjoy popcorn after a hard week
at school. No registration necessary.
