Central Library, 10am – 12pm; Jobs Drop In Lab. See Fri., Feb. 16th.
Central Library, 10am – 12pm; GarageBand Basics in the MakerSpace. See Fri.,
Feb. 16th.
Central Library, 10:30am – 11am; Read, Sing, Play! Storytime. Share the joy of
books with your child. Read, Sing and Play with them to help them learn what
they need to know to be ready for school. No registration required. Ages 0 – 5.
Central Library, 12:30pm – 1:30pm; littleBits in the MakerSpace. Explore the
world of sounds with littleBits Synth kits. Create pulses, sine waves, beats &
other synth sounds. Come to this training to learn how to connect several littleBits
modules to make instruments & create your own music. No registration necessary.
For teens & adults.
Beauchamp Branch, 2pm – 4pm; Kente Cloth. Learn about this beautiful African
woven cloth & then use its symbols to make your own colorful unique work of art.
Petit Branch, 2pm – 4pm; STEAM @ Petit – Science, Technology, Engineering,
Art, and Math. Technology! OSMO – code, word games, math games.
Central Library, 2pm – 3pm; Rube-Goldberg Chain Reactions. Work together to
create a Rube-Goldberg style chain reaction machine. How many different things
can you make happen with a simple flick of a switch or gently rolling a ball? Put
your creativity to the test! Ages 5+. No registration required.
White Branch, 2pm – 3pm; Kids Create
Mundy Branch, 3pm – 5pm; Engineer’s Week. See Tues., Feb. 20th.
Central Library, 3pm – 4pm; 3D Printing in the MakerSpace. Join us on Wednesdays
to 3D print a small object found on! 3D prints will be
handled on first come, first serve basis. Register online at
calendar. For teens & adults.
Paine Branch, 3:30pm – 4:30pm; Out of School Activities. Construct an imaginative
Lego creation, expand motor skills with a heart-lacing activity and learn how
to spool knit to create some unique projects or gifts. For kids aged 5+.
Betts Branch, 6pm – 7pm; Knitting for Beginners with Maggie. Learn the basics
of knitting: knit, purl, cast on, cast off, increase and decrease. Make a simple
project, a scarf. Yarn will be provided. Please bring your own size 10 knitting
needles. Please register at the circulation desk or call 315-435-1940.
