Beauchamp Branch,10am; Story Times for Kids – Bring your toddler, preschooler and enjoy books, songs, dance and fun to celebrate black history month.
Beauchamp Branch, 1pm – 3:30pm; Chili with Black Firefighters – Spice up your day with chili and a movie, plus career information with Syracuse Black Firefighters.
Mundy Branch, 2pm; Everson Museum Children’s Program- Celebrate Black History Month through the art of Ernest Crichlow, an African American artist whose work is currently on display at the Everson Museum of Art. Crichlow was a painter born in Brooklyn, New York, and his paintings depict the daily lives of African AmeYorkers. Program participants will view his work, learn about the artist and then make their very own colorful portrait using oil pastels. For ages 7-11
