Betts Branch, all day; 2017 Annual Cabin Fever Quilt Show.
Hazard Branch, 9:30am – 4:30pm; School Break Teen Programs. Come to the library any time during school break week to enjoy one of our Drop-In Programs. You can experiment with our 3Doodler Pens, create something unique using Crayola® Model Magic compound, enjoy a few crafts, or have fun with Xbox games, board games, and card games! Snacks and beverages will also be available. Ages 13-19. 435-5326.
Petit Branch, 10:30am – 11am; Read, Sing and Play: Story Time. Combined toddler and preschool story hour for children ages 1½ to 5 and their families or caregivers. Includes stories, rhymes, fingerplays, and songs.
Hazard Branch, 1pm – 2:30pm; Minecraft Party. Blockheads unite! For this special Minecraft party we will be playing Minecraft on our Xbox One, playing our Minecraft card game, making Minecraft crafts, and having some Minecraft-themed snacks! For ages 6-12. 435-5326.
Beauchamp Branch, 2pm – 4pm; African American Art. Staff from the Everson Museum will discuss African American Art, with a focus on artist Jacob Lawrence, one of the first African American artists to be represented by a major commercial gallery and the first to receive sustained mainstream recognition in the U.S. All Ages
Mundy Branch, 3:30pm – 4:30pm; Love to Play Chess. Join us to learn all the moves and play a game or two.
Hazard Branch, 4pm – 5pm; African Percussion Ensemble. Onondaga Community College’s African Percussion Ensemble will perform rhythms of Gahu, Gota, and Bagr Bine. For all ages. 435-5326.
Beauchamp Branch, 5:15pm – 7pm; Board Game Fun. Find a partner (or three) and choose any of our board games to play. Selection includes Scrabble, Stratego, Apples to Apples, The Game of Go, Uno and more! Ages 5 and up Learn to play Mancala, a traditional African board game, or play one of your favorite board games with your friends. (315)435-3395
