Library Events during Winterfest

Thursday, February 22nd:

Mundy Branch, 10:30am – 12:30pm; Drop in Drawing and More! Join us in the
Teen Area for some artistic exploration. All necessary art supplies will be provided.
Additional hands-on activities will be available to keep your hands busy during
school break week! For ages 12 – 18.
Central Library, 1pm – 2pm; Art Club with Ashley in the MakerSpace. See
Thurs., Feb. 15th.
Beauchamp Branch, 2pm – 4pm; Creative Poetry. Using works of renowned
Black authors as inspiration, we’ll have a workshop exploring various alternative
poetry methods. Artwork to accompany poems will be encouraged as well!
Petit Branch, 2pm – 4pm; STEAM @ Petit – Science, Technology, Engineering,
Art, and Math. Engineering! Build a structure using gumdrops and toothpicks.
Central Library, 2pm – 3pm; Snowflake Bentley. Our friends from Baltimore
Woods will join us in looking to see if any two snowflakes are alike, just like
Snowflake Bentley. Dress warm – we’ll be going outside to find out. Ages 5+. No
registration required.
White Branch, 2pm – 3pm; STEM Creations: Space City Marble Run
Mundy Branch, 3pm – 5pm; Engineer’s Week. See Tues., Feb. 20th.
Beauchamp Branch, 4:30pm – 7pm; Sun-Soy all-Natural Candle Making. Host:
DreamTeam1. Join us to learn candle making; an opportunity to design your own
candle using sun soy; create your own favorite fragrance; community working
together in harmony. Call for registration at 315-435-3395.
Petit Branch, 6:30pm – 7:30pm; Pajama Story Hour and Craft. Cozy up in your
pajamas and join us for a craft, stories and a light snack.
