HORSEDRAWN SLEIGH RIDES – 11am – 3:30pm; Highland Forest Park, 1254 Highland Park Rd., Fabius. Enjoy an old-fashioned twenty minute, horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Highland’s winter woods. WINTERFEST EXPRESS – Noon – 5pm; starts on Salina St.at Hanover Square. Continuous free shuttle service between Winterfest’s major downtown venues. Simply hop aboard the bustling Winterfest Express at any designated site or you can start at the corner of Salina and Water Streets near Hanover Square. Sponsor: Centro

CULINARY CRUISE – Noon – 4pm. All aboard for Syracuse Winterfest’s popular, annual Culinary Cruise. “Cruisers” purchase tickets for $5 to visit participating restaurants and sample their culinary specialties and vote for their favorites. Tickets are available at participating restaurants presale or at the GoMini’s unit in Clinton Square the day of the event. The Winterfest Express will provide continuous free shuttle service between the restaurants. Awards are presented to the top vote getters in each category: Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts. An “After the Cruise” party will be held at Clinton Street Pub where the winners will be announced and prizes awarded around 5pm. pre-Mardi Gras celebration of the Hurricane, one of New Orleans’ most renowned cocktails, with Winterfest’s Hurricane Mixoff! Second Line Syracuse, a high-energy professional 8-piece dance band inspired by both traditional and modern-day New Orleans’ style brass bands, will start the festivities at Otro Cinco at 2pm with an indoor performance before taking to the streets and march out the mixoff with YOU! Follow the band to participating establishments, hoot n’ holler, have a hurricane, and get down with the best Syracuse has to offer!
