DRIVER’S VILLAGE – The 31st annual contest begins Feb. 15th and ends when
the medallion is found or at midnight, Feb. 25th. Follow the clues every day in The
Post- Standard, on, or on Twitter or Facebook to find the medallion,
which is hidden on public land in Onondaga County. Solve the clues and find the
medallion, and you win $2,000! The winner should verify the authenticity of the
medallion by calling the telephone number engraved on the medallion. Sponsor:

2018 CNY SCHOLASTIC ART AWARDS EXHIBIT – 9am – 7pm; Atrium of the
Whitney Applied Technology Center at Onondaga Community College, 4941 Onondaga
Road. This year, over 90 area schools, submitted 5,560 pieces of art. Over
a 3-day period some 50 judges, comprised of professional artists, educators and
photographers, awarded a record 1,885 works in 19 categories. The 2018 firstplace
winners (Gold Key), second-place (Silver Key) and honorable mentions, as
well as special award honorees, will be showcased. Highest-rated pieces move
on to national competition, and the Everson Museum of Art will host a selection
of works March 10 through April 8. In 2017 the CNY region produced a record 34
national award winners. Free admission.

DOWNTOWN DINING WEEKS – The 14th annual serving of Downtown Dining
Weeks, presented by Visions Federal Credit Union, offers a new addition, lunch
specials. Participating restaurants will serve the traditional three courses (or
more!) for $25 (or less!) for dinner, as well as three-course lunch offerings for
$10. It’s up to the restaurants whether they offer lunch specials, dinner specials
or both. Beverages, tax & gratuity are additional. Some restaurants may require

WINTER WONDERS WEEK – 10am; Beaver Lake Nature Center, 8477 E. Mud Lake
Road, Baldwinsville. The answer to cabin fever during the school Winter Break
week. 10am – Snow Sculptures, 1:30pm — Creature Feature, 2pm – Snowshoeing
(or walking if not enough snow). During School vacation there will be guided
snowshoe walks and critter talks daily for families and individuals. Walk down
one of the Nature Center’s trails tracking winter wildlife. Learn about beaver,
turtles, hawks, or other wildlife in the Visitor Center. All scheduled activities

TEDDY BEAR CLINIC – 10am -3pm; Rosamond Gifford Zoo, 1 Conservation Place,
Syracuse. Children of all ages are invited to bring their teddy bear or other plush
friend to a special Teddy Bear Clinic to get a checkup at the zoo. Our “vets” will
give your stuffed animal a full examination & offer first aid if necessary. Treat
your child to a temporary tattoo & your plushie to a fun accessory on this special

WINTER DAY CAMP – WILD WINTER BREAK! – 9am – 4pm; Baltimore Woods
Nature Center, 4007 Bishop Hill Rd, Marcellus. Today: “Everest Challenge” Can you

TEAM TRIVIA – Enjoy a lively evening of trivia, with teamwork in a fun and social
atmosphere. A team from Stingers Pizza Pub (7pm), Salt City Grille (7pm), The
Brasserie (7pm), WT Brews in Baldwinsville (7pm), Pizza Man Pub in Baldwinsville
(7pm), Abbott’s Village Tavern in Marcellus (7pm), Empire Farms Brewery
in Cazenovia (7pm), Jake Hafner’s (7:30pm), Saltine Warrior (8pm), and/or The
Distillery (8pm) may participate in the Winterfest Team Trivia Finals on Sunday
